The Community Answers “What’s On Your Swim To-Do List?”

Open water swimmers plan for some events months, if not years, ahead of time. At Odyssey Open Water Swimming, our annual Bridge to Bridge swim sells out around 8-10 months before the event takes place. Because of this, many swimmers have a to-do list or schedule that is planned before events are scheduled to take place.

We recently asked the open water swimming community, “What’s on your swim to-do list?” Here are some of the responses we received on Instagram and Twitter:

  • “SCAR” - Mark O.

  • “What is that?” - Shon J.

    • “The SCAR swim is a 4 day event in Arizona. About 9+ miles, 9 miles, 19 miles and then 10K in 4 successive days with the 4th swim at night

  • “All of them! (kidding, I always try to do one I have never done before..not sure what it will be this year!)” - Sharon R.

  • “La Jolla 10. La Jolla 10-mile Relay, La Jolla Challenge, Pier to Pier, and as many others as possible!” - Char M.

  • “Swam 6 miles at the La Jolla relay (entered as a solo swimmer) - it was a super fun event. Had to drive back to the Bay Area the same day - so stopped at 6 miles. Heading back this year as well.” - Rajeev C
